Learning Intent
This first lesson establishes the course contract for the Berith Grimoire curriculum and aligns your existing ceremonial discipline with the methodological standards we will maintain throughout. You will define the scope boundary of this training, the ethical and legal constraints within which we operate, and the precise competencies that constitute practitioner readiness for cooperative, accountable work with the spirit Berith. The aim is clarity and consent—between you and the tradition, you and the sources, and you and the spirit—so that each subsequent operation stands on secure ground.
By the close of this lesson you will be able to: articulate the historical and textual limits of our synthesis; inventory and self-assess your skills in consecration, circle work, and timing; and adopt a stable relational frame in which Berith is approached as a benevolent teacher within a coherent Solomonic-Kabbalistic architecture. You will implement immediate safety measures—ethical framework, legal and psychological screening, and a non-dualist understanding of spiritual influence—so that practice remains responsible, repeatable, and professionally sound.
Tradition Grounding
Our synthesis rests on historically attested texts and the technical convergences between them:
- Ars Goetia (Book I of the Lesser Key of Solomon): provides a catalog of spirits, seals, and operational norms for conjuration and audience within a consecrated circle. Berith appears in cognate lists within the Solomonic corpus and is treated here through the same operative standards applied to all cooperative spirits.
- Grimorium Verum: offers a contractual model (ethically reframed for modern lawful practice) and specific sigillary and ritual structures that inform our approach to agreement, offerings, and long-term partnership with a spirit-intelligence.
- Clavicula Salomonis (Key of Solomon): supplies foundational protocols
