Understanding Spiritual Healing and Reiki
For those new to these concepts, spiritual healing and Reiki are non-invasive practices rooted in the principle of benevolent energy flow. A spiritual healer works with the understanding that the human body possesses an innate ability to seek balance. By acting as a conduit for universal energy, the practitioner helps to facilitate a sense of peace and relaxation in the client.
Reiki, specifically, is a Japanese technique developed in the early 20th century. The word comes from "Rei" (Universal) and "Ki" (Life Energy). During a session, the practitioner uses light touch or places their hands slightly above the body to guide energy where it is most needed. These traditions are entirely cooperative and respectful, intended to complement conventional lifestyle choices. They are never framed as a substitute for professional medical advice but rather as a supportive tool for emotional and spiritual well-being.
