Understanding the Practice of Astrology

For those new to the field, an astrologer is a practitioner who interprets the positions and movements of celestial bodies to gain insights into human affairs and terrestrial events. This tradition dates back thousands of years and is built on the belief that there is a meaningful relationship between the cosmos and the individual. Rather than predicting a fixed destiny, modern astrological counselling is typically used as a tool for self-discovery and psychological mapping. It focuses on identifying natural strengths, understanding recurring life patterns, and navigating periods of transition with greater awareness. The practice is inherently benevolent and cooperative, aiming to empower the individual to make conscious choices rather than fostering a sense of fatalism.

What Visitors Can Expect

When engaging with an astrologer in New Zealand, visitors can expect a professional and respectful dialogue. A session at Temenos Astrological Counselling involves a deep dive into the client’s birth chart, which is a snapshot of the sky at the exact moment of their birth. This chart serves as a symbolic blueprint. Clients can expect to discuss various life themes, such as career, relationships, and personal growth, in a way that is non-judgmental and encouraging. The process is designed to be a collaboration between the counsellor and the client, ensuring that the insights gained are relevant and practical for the client's current circumstances. The goal is to provide clarity and a sense of harmony between the individual and the wider rhythms of the world.
