Stage I — Transform: Haagenti
The Alchemist of Transmutation
Haagenti stands at the beginning of this path because transformation requires the ability to change the nature of what already exists.
The Haagenti current revolves around refinement. What appears useless, uncomfortable or damaged may contain the raw material necessary for a different version of yourself.
What refinement looks like in practice

- shame can become self-knowledge

- rejected material can become usable energy

Stage II — Confront: Asmoday
Desire Without Submission
Desire is one of the strongest forces within human consciousness. It can inspire creation, ambition, sexuality, competition, obsession, attachment and extraordinary determination.
But desire can also become a master. Asmoday enters the path where the practitioner must confront the uncomfortable question: do you control what you desire, or does what you desire control you?
The Asmoday current explores passion, appetite, ambition and personal power without requiring the practitioner to deny them. This stage works with:
- intense desire without loss of sovereignty
- ambition examined rather than suppressed
- appetite recognised as information
- obsession traced back to its origin
- attachment measured against independence
- passion directed toward chosen objectives
The objective is not becoming detached from desire. It is becoming capable of experiencing intense desire without surrendering sovereignty.

Stage III — Understand: Astaroth
The Intelligence Behind the Mask
Human beings are rarely motivated by only the reasons they consciously acknowledge. Behind decisions may exist fear, pride, insecurity, resentment, longing, competition, guilt or the need for recognition.
Astaroth governs the analytical stage of the Shadow Alchemist path. Here the practitioner begins looking beneath appearances and examining questions such as:
- Why did you really make that decision?
- Why does a particular person provoke such a strong reaction?
- Why does one criticism hurt while another means nothing?
- Why do certain patterns repeatedly appear in relationships, business or spiritual practice?
The Astaroth current is used to investigate what lies beneath conscious explanations, because transformation becomes difficult when the real cause remains hidden.

Stage IV — Liberate: Belial
Sovereignty Without Permission
Eventually shadow work encounters authority.
Whose expectations govern your decisions? Whose approval do you still seek? Which identities were imposed upon you? Which limitations have you accepted simply because they were repeated often enough?
Belial represents radical independence and sovereignty. Not rebellion for its own sake. Not isolation. Not arrogance. Sovereignty means accepting responsibility for the direction of your own existence. The Belial current challenges:
- dependency on external validation
- submission to unnecessary authority
- inherited identities you never chose
- limitations accepted through repetition
- the habit of letting external judgement determine internal value
- decisions delegated to other people's expectations
The Shadow Alchemist eventually has to answer a difficult question: who owns your life? Belial demands that the answer become unmistakable.

Descending Into the Deep
Some aspects of consciousness do not reveal themselves through ordinary reflection. They exist beneath the surface.
Within this path, Leviathan represents descent into the deeper waters of consciousness. The purpose is not darkness for spectacle. It is depth. This stage works with:
- old emotional structures
- deep fears
- unspoken resentment
- primitive desire
- grief that was never completely processed
- patterns that appear to have no rational origin
The deeper the practitioner is willing to examine the internal landscape, the less power unconscious material possesses to operate invisibly.
Leviathan therefore becomes the current of profound introspection, emotional depth and confrontation with what lies beneath the constructed personality.

Stage VI — Forge: Flereous
Transformation Through Intensity
Understanding alone does not always create change. Sometimes something must reach sufficient intensity before transformation occurs.
Flereous represents the furnace: the accumulated pressure that forces movement, the moment when hesitation becomes decision, the point where an old identity can no longer comfortably contain the person you are becoming.
This is the final alchemical phase of the path. It works with:

Do I need previous experience before starting this path?
Yes — this is an advanced specialization rather than an introduction. It assumes you are comfortable with basic ritual practice, meditation and sustained self-observation. If you are entirely new, work through the Demonology School curriculum first, then return here.
Is shadow work dangerous?
The path is structured, not chaotic. Each attunement runs a 21-day cycle with preparation, containment, journaling and closure built in, and the material is framed as cooperative work with the currents rather than confrontation. That said, this is deliberate psychological depth work: it is not a substitute for therapy or psychiatric care, and if you are in acute crisis, address that first.
How long does the full path take?
It is self-paced. Each of the six attunements follows a 21-day cycle of daily practice, so a practitioner moving through them consecutively typically works for four to six months. There are no deadlines and no expiry.
Does the order of the six spirits matter?
Yes, more than in most paths. The sequence — Haagenti, Asmoday, Astaroth, Belial, Leviathan, Flereous — is an alchemical progression: you learn transmutation before confronting desire, understand motive before reclaiming sovereignty, and only descend once containment is established. Flereous is deliberately last.
It shares Astaroth, Asmoday and Belial with the other paths — is that a problem?
No. Each path approaches those currents for a different purpose: The Power Invoker uses Asmoday and Belial for will and command, The Master of Knowledge approaches Astaroth as intellectual investigation, while The Shadow Alchemist works with them as desire without submission, sovereignty without permission and the intelligence behind the mask. If you already own another path, this one still adds new attunements.
Do I get a certificate?
Each of the six attunement courses issues its own verifiable digital certificate of completion, so finishing the path yields six certificates. They are issued by Terra Incognita Academy and are not state-accredited degrees.
Can I buy the six courses separately instead?
Yes — each attunement is sold individually at €55. The path exists because the six work as one alchemical sequence, and taking them together costs considerably less than buying them one at a time.
