Attunement of Kuraokami

This course presents a disciplined, historically grounded path to attuning with Kuraokami—Japan’s traditional rain and water spirit—as a cooperative guide for fertility, emotional balance, and ecological reciprocity. Drawing directly from Kojiki and Nihon Shoki references, classical Shinto practice, and land-based sacred-water protocols, the course teaches concrete breathing, resonance, and sympathetic techniques for working with precipitation and standing waters. Practical modules cover ethical influence on weather outcomes (amplification, seasonal alignment, community requests) while strictly avoiding coercive or exorcistic methods. Students learn minimal ceremonial architecture—timing, offerings, directional markers, and tool lists—designed for low-impact, reciprocal practice. Emphasis is placed on energetic hygiene, psychological integration, and measurable journaling so attunement grows without dysregulation. Exercises include grief-clearing rites, rites of letting-go and rebirth using water symbolism and action, and protocols for seeking permission from local watersheds and stewarding reciprocal offerings. Measurements, observational metrics, and ethical feedback loops teach how to track attunement progress and ritual efficacy. This course is appropriate for practitioners with intermediate experience in spirit work, earth-based ritual, or energy practice who seek precise, usable methods rooted in Shinto-informed lineage and ecological responsibility.
