Attunement of Nomi-no-Sukune
This course presents a historically grounded, practical system for developing measurable physical power, resilience, and competitive focus using the figure of Nomi-no-Sukune as a Shinto attunement archetype. Drawing on early Japanese sources (Kojiki, Nihon Shoki) and classical ritual practice forms, the curriculum combines stance mechanics, hip drive and kinetic linking, breath and tension management, and Norito-based invocation phrasing to create a unified program for martial and competitive performance. Participants will learn a clear ritual attunement sequence: preparation and purification, focused invocation phrasing adapted from Norito forms, precise offering protocols, embodied activation drills, and formal closure. The work treats Nomi-no-Sukune as a benevolent ancestral guide—an initiator of embodied skill whose attributes we model through disciplined practice rather than mythic fantasy. Training integrates progressive strength and resilience plans, periodized micro-practices, measurable outcome protocols (force, jump/sprint, RPE, recovery markers), and mental conditioning exercises for focus, edge-management, and ethical competitiveness. Every module includes safety guidelines, contraindications, and somatic integration protocols to reduce injury risk and promote longevity. Practical tools include stance sequencing, hip-drive drills, kinetic-link progressions, breath-tension routines for ki alignment, and partner drills suitable for combat sports and athletics. Designed for experienced martial artists, competitive athletes, advanced somatic practitioners, and ritual practitioners seeking measurable development, this course delivers clear techniques, testing protocols, and daily frameworks to integrate Shinto-informed attunement into a modern performance program.
