Face Your Shadow, Take Its Power
This course provides a systematic, measurable path for converting suppressed traits into usable strengths. Grounded in Jungian shadow theory, REBT, schema concepts, and evidence-based parts work frameworks, it combines rigorous assessment, graded exposure protocols, and integration practices designed for intermediate students who already journal and self-regulate. You will learn a reproducible pipeline: map suppression with objective rubrics; detect shadow expressions (projection, reaction formation, perfectionism, people-pleasing, aggression, withdrawal) in real time; run controlled, time-boxed exposure sets using SUDS tracking; and translate outcomes into behavioral rechanneling, boundary design, and value-aligned action. Measurement is central: weekly scoring, exposure logs, impulse-to-choice decision logs, and relapse-prevention review cycles ensure demonstrable change, not vague intentions. Modules cover foundational measurement and mapping, the theoretical mechanisms that explain suppression and reactivity, practical regulated exposure protocols to contact avoided material without overwhelm, and integration methods to convert those energies into performance advantages—assertiveness, calibrated risk-taking, creativity, and resilience—while maintaining ethical self-governance. This is not psychotherapy. It is an intermediate self-mastery curriculum that complements licensed therapy when needed. The course omits ceremonial or spirit-evocation systems and divination methods, focusing exclusively on psychological-spiritual development and concrete, repeatable practice.
